As an individual of Chinese diaspora who grew up in Southeast Asia and currently resides in North America, it is difficult to feel completely at ease in any setting. This struggle to belong results in an acute awareness about my cultural identity and positionality in relation to geographical imaginaries. These abstract and pretentious ideas are purged in the form of this ongoing personal project on belonging and existential dread, where I explore cultural artifacts through animations, zines, illustrations, film photos and conversations:
